What is a clinical study?
A clinical study is a structured scientific investigation conducted to evaluate medical interventions, treatments, diagnostics, or procedures under controlled conditions. They are an important part of advancing veterinary medicine as they help identify new treatments and therapies that can improve the health and wellbeing of many animals around the world.
Who can enroll?
Participation in a clinical study is voluntary. Owners who choose to enroll their pet will receive study-related care, diagnostics, and treatments offered at no cost. Each study has it's own set of requirements and corresponding compensation.
Canine Chronic Kidney Disease
Chronic Kidney Disease is common, affecting up to 10% of older dogs. If left untreated, progression of chronic kidney disease can lead to loss of kidney function as well as a buildup of toxins in the bloodstream. We are currently accepting dogs in a clinical trial to investigate a potential new treatment for chronic kidney disease in dogs. This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the potential new treatment for chronic kidney disease in dogs.
Feline Osteoarthritis (CARE)
Does your cat hesitate to jump, stretch less, or avoid their usual resting places? These subtle changes may be signs of osteoarthritis (OA) — a common condition that often goes unnoticed because cats naturally hide pain. Our clinic is offering FREE osteoarthritis screenings for eligible cats and is currently enrolling for a clinical study evaluating a new OA medication.
Canine Osteoarthritis Study
Does your dog seem stiff, sore, or less active? Your dog could be part of a breakthrough solution! Veterinary researchers are exploring an innovative approach to treating pain in dogs caused by osteoarthritis (OA). We are looking for dogs to participate in a clinical trial to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a new potential treatment.
