Spay and Neuter Services

Policy Update

Beginning Oct. 5th 2021, we are instituting a $30 non-refundable deposit for all surgery appointments at the time of booking. Booked clients can use this as a clinic credit for a later date if they cancel 3 days in advance, 50% credit with 24 hours notice. This new policy will help to ensure that we can stay affordable and that the much-needed surgery spots are being used. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at healthypets@sopines.org.

Getting REady for your appointment

  • If you have not already made an appointment, you can do so here.
  • Please confine animals indoors the night before so the animal does not scavenge for food.
  • Dogs and cats should not have any food past midnight. Kittens and puppies under 4 months old can have 1/2 their normal food until 5am.
  • All animals may have water.
Rabies Vaccine
  • We require that you abide by MS state law and have a current rabies vaccination for your pet. If your pet does not have a rabies vaccine, we will administer it at the time of surgery for a charge of $10.
  • If your pet has a current rabies vaccine, please bring proof in the form of a rabies certificate or current vaccination record from your veterinarian.
Leash/Carrier
  • All dogs must be on a leash.
  • All cats must be in a pet carrier. If you bring more than one cat, they must be in separate carriers.
  • Cardboard carriers can be purchased for $10 at time of surgery.
  • Please refrain from bringing your pet's personal items, such as toys and blankets. Due to the high volume of clients, loose items can easily be lost in the shuffle.
